MIKE BELLEW

Mike studied aerospace engineering at university and began his career as an engineer in the defence aviation sector. He worked on the engineering side and also on project management. He has subsequently been a commercial pilot for 23 years, flying the B747, A320, B737 and is currently a Training Captain on the B777. He trains and examines pilots in the aircraft, simulators and the classroom.

Mike has worked in human factors training for 14 years and is particularly interested in the practical application of human factors training to improve the safety and efficiency of people’s performance. He has also been involved in recruitment for over a decade within British Airways.
